Saint Thomas Heart cardiologist now seeing patients in Lawrenceburg
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – May 1, 2013 -- Saint Thomas Heart announced today that leading cardiologist Dr. Andrew Zurick will join Drs. NS Babu and Mark Stankewicz at the Saint Thomas Heart Clinic in Lawrenceburg. Dr. Zurick will see patients every Thursday, bringing additional knowledge, expertise and flexibility with appointments to this first-class cardiology practice.
Dr. Zurick currently practices – and will continue to do so – at Saint Thomas Heart at Saint Thomas Hospital and at Saint Thomas Heart-Brentwood. Fellowship-trained in advanced cardiac imaging at The Cleveland Clinic, he is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, adult echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiac computed tomography (CT). Dr. Zurick also was recently appointed a fellow to the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Zurick received a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree from the University of Akron. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his residency at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Zurick then completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of North Carolina, where he served as chief cardiology fellow. He also was named chief cardiac imaging fellow at The Cleveland Clinic.
Dr Zurick’s areas of interest include non-invasive cardiology, specifically cardiac MRI and CT, echocardiography and nuclear cardiography. Additional interests include valvular heart disease and coronary artery disease. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, reading, running marathons, and biking.
