Saint Thomas Heart announces new office in Smyrna

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – May 9, 2013 - Saint Thomas Heart at Middle Tennessee Medical Center is proud to announce the opening of its new patient cardiology office in Smyrna, Tenn. 

Saint Thomas Heart in Smyrna is located at 741 Presidents Place, Suite 230, Smyrna, Tenn. 

Saint Thomas Heart cardiologist Dr. Edward Rhim will see patients at this office. 

Dr. Rhim earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. His training continued at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he completed both his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiology. Dr. Rhim was named chief cardiology fellow in July 2010. He has participated in medical missions to Peru and is a member of the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association. 

Saint Thomas Heart’s dedicated team of physicians will provide 24-hour care, seven days a week for residents of Rutherford County. Patients are now able to stay in Rutherford County for coronary stents, angioplasty, pacemaker/defibrillator implantations and electrophysiology procedures without routinely being sent to Nashville. 

From this new location, residents of Smyrna and LaVergne can experience quality cardiac care closer to home.
