Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital awards employee excellence
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – (Sept. 16, 2013) – Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital recently named Becca Hicks, information receptionist, as the inaugural “Buzz of the Month” award recipient.
The “Buzz of the Month” award, a new associate recognition program based on the hospital’s “A Time to Excel” journey, is aimed at achieving Saint Thomas Rutherford’s tri-fold mission: to be the best place for employees to work, the best place for physicians to practice and the best place for patients to receive care.
An essential step in accomplishing this mission is to ensure the alignment of goals, behaviors and processes throughout the organization. Part of this initiative includes Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital’s “Be Attitudes” program, designed to honor and highlight employees who lead by example and possess qualities such as responsiveness, respectfulness, professionalism, accountability, collaborative, and safe.
Hicks started her career with Saint Thomas Rutherford in 2011. Since that time, she has continually demonstrated a positive and caring attitude when greeting patients in the main lobby of the hospital.
“Our associates truly live the mission of Saint Thomas Rutherford every day,” said Gordon Ferguson, president and CEO of Saint Thomas Rutherford. “It’s important we recognize them for the impact they make on our hospital and the community. I look forward to sharing the great work of our associates as we continue on this journey.”
