Love your Liver

As October is National Liver Awareness month, there’s no better time to learn how to better love your liver. Amongst many things, your liver is responsible for the production of bile, regulating and clearing your blood and converting excess glucose to be easily stored for later use. In order to keep your body happy and healthy, you need a happy and healthy liver. Here are a few basic liver care tips:

Maintain a healthy lifestyle. This means eating a well-balanced diet and exercising regularly.

Limit alcohol intake. Alcohol goes directly to the liver and can more quickly affect your liver’s overall health.

Avoid smoking. Smoking damages your liver’s ability to remove toxins from your body.
