Saint Thomas Health Names Jennifer Elliott VP of Clinical Operations and Chief Nursing Officer of Saint Thomas Midtown and Saint Thomas West

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Oct. 23, 2013 – Saint Thomas Health has named Jennifer Elliott, RN, vice president of Clinical Operations and chief nursing officer for Saint Thomas West Hospital and Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital.

Most recently, Elliott served as vice president of Clinical Operations and chief nursing officer for Saint Thomas Midtown, formerly Baptist Hospital, where she worked with senior leadership, implementing strategic plans and objectives, while also developing and maintaining patient-centered care initiatives in collaboration with Saint Thomas West medical staff and hospital nursing staff.

Elliott began her career at the former Baptist Hospital in 2001, where she has served in various leadership roles including charge nurse, nurse manager, and director of Emergency Services and Critical Care. In these positions, she led the development of various projects including the formation of the Baptist Hospital transfer center and implementation of the computerized physician order entry technology in the emergency department.

Elliott received her degree from Tennessee State University and is currently completing her graduate degree at Bethel University. She is a member of the Tennessee Emergency Nurses Association, American Nurses Association and serves on several Davison County committees focused on disaster preparation.

Elliott was awarded Nurse Executive of the Year in 2011 from the Tennessee Hospital Association.
