November: National Running Month

November is National Running Safety Month, to raise awareness for the importance a safety precautions when running. Whether at night, in the rain or with an injury, remembering safety measures while running will help you avoid dangerous situations.

Always remember to:

·         Wear proper clothing. If it’s dark, make sure you wear light, reflective clothing and gear. If it’s cold, bundle up with gloves and ear warmers.

·         Stay on paths and in familiar spaces. This will ensure you don’t get lost and you remain in safe running areas.

·         Run facing traffic. This way, oncoming cars, bikes and pedestrians can see you, and you can see them.
