Toy tips to keep kids safe

Some of the most exciting memories for children include waking up to presents on Christmas morning. Choosing safe and age-appropriate toys will allow your child to have a very, merry Christmas.

Here are a few things to consider when purchasing toys for your child:

  • Think about your child’s age-range and skills, to ensure your child will be able to safely play with a toy and check the label for age-range suggestions.
  • Avoid toys with small parts, which could pose a fatal choking hazard for younger children. Also avoid toys with sharp edges.
  • Remember to purchase appropriate protective equipment if your child is getting a bike, skates or a scooter, including a helmet and pads. Ensure your child knows how to safely use these items.
