The Flavors of Fall

Tired of the same bowl of healthy snacks sitting on your kitchen table? The fall season brings about a welcomed change in variety of available fruits and vegetables! As the seasons change, don’t be afraid to branch out to nature’s bounty and change up your heart-healthy eating choices. Unsure of what fall fruits and vegetables may be? Here are a few to keep in mind next time you wander through the grocery store:

 

  • Apples (yes, these are available year-round, but fall is their prime season!)
  • Mushrooms
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Pumpkins
  • Cauliflower
  • Pears
  • Winter Squash
  • Dates
