They say your eyes are the windows to your soul, so shouldn’t you be taking good care of them? As we age, eye care becomes increasingly important, but it’s never too early to start good eye-care practices.
Wear sunglasses. Just as you wear sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays, so should you wear sunglasses to protect your eyes.
Quit smoking. Smoking reduces the blood flow to your eyes thus increasing toxic substances and your risk for eye disease.
Sleep. Your body gets tired and needs to refresh and replenish. This includes your eyes.
Get regular eye exams. Despite all the precautions you may take, getting a regular eye exam can give you insight to potential health threats you may have otherwise never known.
